Hydrographic & Flood Defence / River Surveys

Total Surveys have experience of carrying out survey work for the Environment Agency, and also carry out hydrographic surveys &
topographical surveys, for hydraulic modelling engineers.
Our surveyors have many years experience of hydrographic surveys; from minor watercourses to major rivers like the Rivers Tyne & Wear.
This type of survey work involves surveying open channel cross-sections across the watercourse, structure cross-sections, and flood plain topographical surveys as required.
Survey data can be provided in many formats, including
AutoCAD DWG, ISIS & HEC-RAS; which are standard software packages used by hydraulic engineers.
MIKE11 is also a standard export option from our river survey processing software. For example drawings please visit our
document download centre.
Also, increasingly now, developers are being asked to have flood risk assessments carried out to study the potential ramifications of their proposed development. Total Surveys are experienced in carrying out the required survey work for
flood risk assessment studies.
NOTE: Not all surveying companies are equipped to carry out river survey work. Total Surveys have the
necessary experience and equipment.
If you require a watercourse to be surveyed, please
contact us, we shall be pleased to provide you with a detailed quotation.
