Film Location Surveys

Total Surveys have surveyed sites used as locations for filming, including set locations for a number of popular childrens' television programmes.

Survey information can be used to assist in the design of on-location sets, and can also be used as a basis for computer visualisation, and creating virtual environments.

We are able to provide 3D computer models of film location sites, and Laser Scanning Surveys of ornate buildings & historic monuments.

Site topography and building / structure positions are surveyed in 3D.

In instances where on-site spatial information is required, we can be of assistance. For example, there may be a specific feature required as a backdrop; that could be Laser Scanned, and the data provided as a 3D point cloud, for later computer manipulation. Or perhaps a survey could assist with the planning of camera angles etc..

Also, if excavation / installation work is required on site, a survey / scan for underground services may be required, for health & safety reasons.
